DO NOT BUY THIS POLICY - the claims process is a complete nightmare, so far I'm 4 months waiting for them to sort any payment out. They are now stating that when I was in hospital (as proved by hospital records and doctors certificates) that I was also on a flight to the US at the same time. Yes it's cheap and easy to buy, but when things go wrong you want a nice easy way to deal with it which you won't get from Virgin. I advise to avoid this company like the plague.

Virgin Travel Insurance - Read the small print first. They don;t cover you for flight taxes, credit card fees, insurance letters fee, admin charges or parking fees. From a flight total price of £347.66 I recieved a cheque for £150.94 or43% of flight cost. Beware the £60.00 excess per person.

Virgin Money’s travel insurance was perfect for my travelling needs. I fly fairly regularly and found their multi-trip insurance package particularly suited to my requirements. The beauty of it is largely to do with the fact that one need not fly several times a year in order to benefit from that sort of cover. I found that the financial benefits were clearly evident after just 3 or 4 trips abroad.

I was also impressed by the fact that in certain cases, it is possible to closely tailor your holiday cover to the nature of your trip. One of my colleagues invested in Virgin’s specialised Golf Cover. He was particularly pleased by the range of eventualities that are accounted for as part of the deal. These range from loss or damage to golfing equipment to compensation for that celebratory round of drinks should the unthinkable happen and you achieve the rare feat of a hole-in-one.

Virgin Money’s Travel Insurance website has loads of detailed information on the services provided. The site design is clear and also includes features which allow you to get and save insurance quotes. Highly recommended!
