At the beginning of November 2011, I was due to fly home to England from Australia. Unfortunately I got caught up in the Qantas strike and my flight was delayed. Because it had been an expensive holiday, I had very little in the way of money. I tried to contact to get any help with funds for accommodation and food while the strike was on, and also to see what help I could get with money for a flight home (due to work commitments I had to get back to the UK urgently). It seemed the only people I could get through to was Emergency medical help. The first time I called, I was told there was nothing that they could help me with because they were the wrong department, yet I was given no alternative number to ring for the right department. Unsatisfied with that answer I rang back and got someone who said they would help. After some communication they said they would call back with more information but I never heard from them again. In the end I got some money from family members to buy a flight home with Emirates. When I got home I called to see if there was anything I could claim. I was firstly told up to £530, which quickly got changed £30, and in the end I received nothing. are just another insurance company that are happy to take your money, but dodge any payouts at all costs. They're too busy finding loopholes in their policy to help customers in need. I would never advise anyone use this company.
Posted by BWM21788 on the 13th December 20111 stars had very poor service. They had a very slow response to treating the medical emergency, and were unable to speak the local language to communicate with the local doctors. Medical decisions were delayed due to the medical team having to be consulted for decisions and they DO NOT OPERATE 24hrs. This had a detrimental effect on the insured's heath.

The claims process is convoluted and purposefully evasive. we have been pushed around from claims company to claims company who all just pass the buck on to some one else. Insurefor do not deserve your custom. nor do they deserve any of the awards they purport to having won.

I cannot advise strongly enough not to take out insurance from insurefor. they will evade your claim with any means possible.

The website is nicely set out to maximise ease of use. A range of different types of insurance are on offer, including Backpackers, Winter Sports, Golf and a host of others, and these are clearly arranged down the right hand side of the homepage where they are easy to see.

A nice perk is that they offer free insurance for children who are travelling with an insured adult, cutting down on extra costs.

The instant quote procedure is quick and painless. Asked only for the basics, with no extra details required, you are given an instant Single and Multi-Trip quote. Below these quotations are the summaries of the cover, which are split into Economy, Standard and Premier. These can be switched between quickly to see what you will be getting for the different premiums.

When you click on one of these policies, you will be taken through to another page where you can add on different specifics for your trip, such as Business Cover, Cruise Cover and a host of others. This is useful because it allows you to personalise the service to your specific needs.

The Economy cover, despite the price, still has all of the basics that you would require, only missing out on such things as missed departure and delayed departure, so you can be sure that you are not going to get caught out.

A link to the cover wording is present at all times at the top of the screen, which is very useful as sometimes this can be difficult to find. From here you can see the main details, or download a PDF version for fuller details.

There is also an extensive FAQs section which answers most issues, and a clear Contact section, making the whole experience very customer friendly.
