I used ''Go Travel Insurance'' when I went backpacking around Australia in my gap year. My partner and I chose to go with them because they were cheaper than anywhere else. It wasn’t until we were bored on the plane over there and actual read the policy that we realised we were barely covered for anything.
This wasn’t the fault of ''Go''- we should have checked, but the lesson here would be that the cheapest isn’t necessarily the best. Luckily nothing happened that warranted a claim. And ''Go'' do have plenty of other policies that would have been better for us- we were just being stingy.
Having said all that, actually getting the policy in the first place was really easy. We did everything online, which is my preferred method of doing anything. Go were easy to contact and we were sent details of our policy very quickly and efficiently. Everything was very clear from the beginning and the price was very good.
I would definitely recommend ''Go Travel Insurance'' if you are on a budget, but for more security and if you can afford it I’d pay a little more- especially if you’re doing crazy things like skydiving and scuba diving.
