I used their insurance last year but find them charging my card again this year for insurance I have not asked for, not happy.

My husband and I chose Essential Travel Insurance for our recent eight day holiday to the Algarve. As we booked our break only a week before our departure, we were eager to find cheap, hassle free insurance quickly. After following a link on the Monarch website, which we had used to book our flights, we found just what we were looking for with Essential Travel Insurance. Considering our age, (I am in my late 50s and my husband is in his early 60s), I was really surprised to discover that basic insurance packages were available for under £10.
The package I chose ticked all the boxes on my list: cheap; reliable; easily booked online with confirmation by e-mail; and clear instructions and contact details about how to make a claim. Thankfully, we had no reason to claim after our holiday so I cannot comment on the quality of service in this area, but I have no significant criticism to offer about the rest of the service. I would certainly recommend Essential Travel to anyone else looking for budget insurance, particularly those who have grabbed a last minute deal and are eager to sort out insurance quickly with a minimum amount of fuss.
