Direct Travel Insurance provide an excellent service at a reasonable cost. I have used them for my travel insurance for the last four holidays I have been on and they have always been the cheapest provider of travel insurance after searching through several providers. The last time I went for two weeks to Greece and it was less than £10 for cover.

They are good at handling claims also: on a previous holiday to Turkey, one of our party had an accident and required stitches to his head. He was taken to a Turkish hospital and received stitches and pain killers to the tune of £200. Upon returning to the UK, a claim for these costs was made to Direct Travel Insurance who informed us it would be no problem to pay out. The money to cover the cost was issued within 2 weeks of putting in the claim. We were all impressed with this quick service and the fact that the policies appear to be underwritten by AXA Insurance, so you know you are getting a good product.

All in all I would give them a rating of 10/10 for customer service, value for money and ease of purchasing as their website is so simple to use. I will definitely be using them again this year for my holiday!
