Delta provides a completely different service to most of the travel insurance companies on the internet. However, although its clear aim is to provide a quality service, it is certainly not as easy to use as many of the other providers out there.

The main issue is that it is not possible to get a quote and purchase an insurance policy online. It is possible to get a quote for a Single Trip, but this is very limited indeed, and if your trip is over 30 days, or you want Winter Sports or Economy cover included, you will need to phone up or send an email to receive a quote. And in any case you can only purchase insurance over the phone.

Delta does provide a good service in that you get to speak to a real person and it feels as if they care more. However, is so easy to get online quotes quickly and easily these days that it can be quite frustrating using the service. I also find it useful to look at all the details of the cover written down before making a purchase, but in order to get these details you need to send an email first, which is simply not convenient enough.
