CheapTravelInsurance.com provides a useful comparison table by clicking on a tab on the left side of the homepage, which gives you an idea of the different polices before you obtain a quote.

However, the website seems a bit clumsy and confusing, as there are a whole load of options down the left-hand side which you have to look through for a while before finding what you want.

The quote system is quick and easy. You just fill in the most basic of details and the quote is instantly generated, with the options of golf cover and business cover also available on the main page.

You then get up to four different cover levels, from Single Standard to Annual Super, to choose from. Each has the premium and the table of benefits below for easy comparison, a really useful feature that saves a lot of time. All the details are there and you can also check the policy wording by downloading the PDF.

You then get the option of an activities pack to add on, which is a good feature if you are thinking of taking part in a sport when you are away. The basic activities are included in the policy but for others you have to pay a bit extra.

Overall it is a very easy service and the prices are good. On the downside the excess can be a bit high at £75 on a basic policy, but then even the most basic of policies has at least something for every major event and there is nothing important missing. However, you might feel a bit unsure of the £1 million medical emergency cover as this seems quite a low amount these days.
