Saga's new policy responds to travel woes

Saga, specialists in the over 50s market, has just introduced a new and exciting travel insurance policy in direct response to the variety of travel troubles which have hit the headlines over the last twelve months. From ash clouds to strikes, travellers have certainly had a tough time and it is not just air passengers who have been affected. Eurostar too had its share of problems last winter when passengers were stranded overnight in horrendous conditions due to bad weather.

All too often, travel policies cite the “act of God” get-out clause and travellers are left out of pocket, particularly those who have travelled independently and do not have a tour operator to fall back on for compensation. Saga recognises that the over 50 market is no longer content to take a week’s package to the sun but is increasingly adventurous in its travel plans.
