Lost luggage a headache for many last year

It seems from recent figures released by insurewithease.com that far too many of us are familiar with that sinking feeling that strikes as we stand at the airport luggage carousel waiting for our bags to appear.

Of all the claims made last year, one in four related to lost or delayed luggage and averaged out at just over £133 per claim. The relatively low average claim is likely therefore to represent the purchase of emergency supplies of toiletries and an outfit or two to tide the holidaymaker over.

It is, however, advisable to follow certain rules when packing and certainly to make sure that any valuables or essentials, such as medication, are put into your carry-on baggage.
