Czech Airlines set to introduce insurance service

Some refreshingly good news was announced last week by Czech Airlines, which, in a move that many feel is unusual for those involved in the money-making airline industry, is trying its best to reduce the hassle involved in planning a trip abroad. Passengers will now be able to purchase travel insurance at the time of purchasing their flight tickets. The airline has penned an innovative deal with AIG Europe, which will see passengers offered cut-price travel insurance when they book flights online at

The managing director of the Czech Airlines Customer Relations Management Section and the general manager of AIG Europe in the Czech Republic agreed this new deal, which will see the airline “offering a broad range of additional services”. The vice president for Marketing and Product Development at the airline continued to state that travelling with Czech Airlines will save passengers both “time and money” and will also ensure that they can travel in the comfort which returning passengers have come to expect but with the additional peace of mind provided by knowing that proper insurance cover has already been purchased. Those involved with Czech Airlines evidently believe that the deal between them and AIG Europe is unique and there is no other deal available on the market to compare it with.

Passengers who choose to make purchases from, the budget subsidiary, will also be able to take advantage of the deal. Travellers will also be able to purchase trip cancellation policies at prices agreed between the airline and AIG Europe.
